In the heart of the Renaissance town of Sansepolcro, a project has taken shape that combines culture, craftsmanship, and contemporary vision. A 17th-century palace, restored over five years of intensive work by Aboca – a leader in natural therapeutic innovation – has been brought back to life as Residenza d’Epoca Luca Pacioli, named after the renowned mathematician born in Sansepolcro. A place that now symbolizes a new concept of Italian luxury hospitality.
To carry out this project, Aboca selected partners who share its core values of excellence and a deep respect for the purity and quality of natural materials. The choice of MIPA was driven by the search for solutions that merge technical performance with aesthetic beauty, identifying terrazzo marble surfaces as the ideal material to express sustainable luxury and lasting durability. The restoration and architectural reimagining of the building were entrusted to Architect Federico Romolini and the team at Studio Tecnico Romolini, who elegantly interpreted Aboca’s vision: transforming a 17th-century palace into a contemporary hospitality icon while preserving the building’s historical authenticity.
Within the Residenza, MIPA’s terrazzo is not only functional but becomes a narrative element. The Avorio color is widely featured throughout the project. The custom staircases in Avorio with Tancredi décor are among the most striking elements. No longer merely functional, they are transformed into true, inhabitable works of art. Avorio terrazzo marble was also used for other features such as countertops and niches, turning these surfaces into elements of both utility and strong aesthetic value.
The Arabella décor was applied to various elements, creating a visual continuity that draws the eye through the spaces, while Campiello terrazzo marble is extensively used in corridors, passageways, and stair landings across the Residenza’s upper floors.
In this context, the partnership between Aboca and MIPA proved to be a strategic one: MIPA provided not just materials, but a shared vision aligned with Aboca’s values—quality, durability, sustainability, and artisanal care. Residenza d’Epoca Luca Pacioli is a concrete demonstration of how Italian craftsmanship can enhance historical heritage when it expresses the very best of its expertise.
