Pentagram House, Garbatella

PUNTO ZERO ARCHITECTS AND MARIA ADELE SAVIOLI ARCHITECTURE
Private residence

The SEEDS collection is the absolute protagonist of the Pentagram House project curated by Punto Zero Architects and Maria Adele Savioli Architecture

The Pentagram House project, curated in collaboration by Punto Zero Architects Studio and Maria Adele Savioli Architecture Studio, aimed to renovate a house with the typical architecture of the Garbatella neighborhood in Rome, giving it a brighter and more convivial appearance.

The particular structure of the house, characterized by autonomous environments overlooking a common entrance, allowed the Studios to experiment and play with spaces and materials, choosing MIPA terrazzo as the undisputed protagonist in most of the environments.

In the renovation of the rooms of the house, old wallpapers of different colors were found in each room and from here the idea developed to use a different terrazzo in tone and color from the SEEDS collection of MIPA based on the environment and its wallpaper.

For the living area, for example, where green and cream paints emerged, the Cardamom variant of SEEDS was used, whose colors perfectly reflect those of the findings. As for the central room, the one that unites the various environments of the house, the Lentil variant was chosen, coordinated with the reddish decorations of the walls.

Finally, for the entrance, the guest bathroom, and the access space to the terrace, the studios that collaborated on the project opted for a terrazzo with a more neutral color like that of Tef, also part of the SEEDS collection.

The Seeds collection, inspired by the ancient technique of Seminato, thanks to its palette is extremely versatile and therefore easily adaptable to any environment without ever being boring.
