MIPA plays a leading role in one of the most iconic spaces of the Green Vintage Jungle project, the refined renovation of a 70 m² apartment nestled in the green heart of Florence, designed by architect and interior designer Rachele Biancalani.
At the centre of the kitchen, the Fancy terrazzo from MIPA’s SLABS collection becomes a visually and tactilely striking element: a custom countertop that powerfully expresses the identity of the home. Underscoring the material and stylistic consistency of the entire project, the living room rug, also personally designed by the architect and handmade in wool and silk, is inspired by the texture of the Fancy terrazzo, creating a refined visual thread between the different areas of the house.
To keep the composition clean and maximise the impact of the terrazzo top, no wall cabinets or shelves were added, leaving full prominence to the materials and natural light. The kitchen features an induction cooktop with integrated hood, while storage is efficiently managed through the tall columns and hidden pantry. Brass-finished details—such as the Franke sink and faucet—recur throughout the home, from handles to light fixtures.
The Green Vintage Jungle concept draws inspiration from the lush vegetation typical of the area and translates into a bold yet refined use of colors and materials: jungle-themed wallpaper, dark green resin flooring developed through custom samples, lacquered boiserie, bespoke furniture, and a palette that combines warm whites, deep greens, and terracotta/golden accents.
