In the heart of Rome, Casa D’Ambrosi is a refined example of contemporary renovation where interior design meets everyday functionality. The project, designed by Dama Studio Associati, is characterised by meticulous attention to materials and details, and finds in MIPA terrazzo one of the most distinctive and coherent elements of the entire project. Three terrazzo designs by MIPA – Tef and Cardamom from the Seeds collection, and Fancy from the SLABS collection – have been carefully selected to bring character and identity to the home’s main living areas and bathrooms.
In the dining area, the surface enhances the elegance of the white round table and the dark wooden cabinet, striking a visual balance between modern design and a homely atmosphere. In the bright and functional kitchen, Tef once again proves its versatility.
The terrazzo flooring interacts harmoniously with natural light and surfaces, making the space not only welcoming but also highly practical, thanks to the durability and low maintenance that are hallmarks of MIPA’s materials.
In the main bathroom, the Cardamom design from the Seeds collection envelops the room with a sophisticated and textured surface. Applied cohesively and scenographically across the floor, shower wall, and the wall behind the sink, it transforms the space into a visual oasis of comfort and formal coherence.
In the second bathroom, the scene is defined by the Fancy design from the SLABS collection, used for both the flooring and shower walls. Here, terrazzo adopts a more graphic and contemporary language, once again demonstrating MIPA’s ability to adapt to a variety of design contexts without compromising identity.
