« Terrazzo Talks », Mipa’s podcast

We are pleased to present 'Terrazzo Talks,' our new podcast available on Spotify: a journey into the wonderful world of terrazzo guided by dialogue with special guests and exceptional figures in the industry.

The guest of the first episode is the renowned Italian design studio Studiocharlie, with whom we have brought to life the very first collection of furniture objects by Mipa: Monomateria, an extraordinary collaboration whose pieces are born from a single block and celebrate the expressive power of terrazzo.

In this conversation with Gabriele Rigamonti, Carla Scorda, and Vittorio Turla from Studiocharlie, we delve into the research and development of the Neolithic tables, the Buchi doorstops, and the Ruspe bookends, and the importance of this series that marks the beginning of a new journey for Mipa.

In addition to the Monomateria collection, the first episode of the podcast explores the creative approach, the importance of experimenting with traditional materials, the shared vision between Mipa and Studiocharlie, and the history of the latter: its birth, the consolidation of its identity, the graphic identity given to the material, and the great names in the art world that inspire the work of Gabriele, Carla, and Vittorio.

The first ‘Terrazzo Talks’ sets the stage for a series of events that will allow you to discover behind-the-scenes insights into iconic projects and unique pieces related to the fascinating world of terrazzo.
